There are many children who depend on school meals. For many children the only time they were able to eat is at school. Please help children through the summer by donating money to organizations such as No kid Hungry or Feeding America.
No kid Hungry is offering Summer Meals. Parents can test “FOOD” to 877-877 to find free summer meals areas near them.

June 21st is the official start of summer! We hope everyone has a fun summer full of adventures and fun new memories with friends and family! It’s going to be hot so please make sure to always wear sun screen and stay hydrated!

With summer right around the corner and high temperatures already hitting Socal. I wanted to suggest some fun things to do over the summer!
Enjoy some time in the sun with family and friends! Bring a canopy and a mini grill and enjoy a small cook out! Don’t forget to wear sunscreen SPF 50 and covers against UVA and UVB light!
Although you have to wake up early, this is a fun activity to do with the family. It teaches patience and there are a lot of fun memories families can make together.
Go to your nearest convenience store that sells water balloons and cool off at home with a water balloon fight with family or friends!
If you live by any trails or know any trails this is a fun morning activity to do with family. In the morning walk through nature and get some fresh air! Take some lunch and have a picnic during or after the hike and enjoy being outside before it warms up too much.

This weekend we had our annual summer picnic! We would like to thank all our families and children who attended! We hope you had a great time, made fun memories, and hopefully won a lot of prizes! We would also like to thank our staff who attended and participated in the event!

The month of July is National reunification month! During this month we would like to spread awareness of the importance of reunifying children with their biological families.
Here at Ark our goal is always reunification depending on familial circumstances. We would also like to thank every social worker’s hard work to reuniting families together.

A book I really like and would recommend others to read is the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan.
This book series follows Morgan Rowland’s. A high school girl who discovers she is descended from a long line of witches. All while a new student named Cal Blaire shows up and transforms her life.
This book is a YA fiction series. There is a lot of love, suspense, and self realization throughout the book. The characters are relatable and it is well written throughout. If you’re a fan of YA fiction I would recommend this book series.
There has been a new muppet introduction on Sesame Street! The characters name is Karli and she is a foster child who currently lives with her foster parents!
Here at Ark we are super excited over this new character introduction because it brings awareness to the foster system! There are so many children in the system and this also brings awareness to how important the foster system is. If you have time today be sure to check out the new episode!!!!
